Sketch

This week in class we were asked to make one of our self portraits into a sketch using photoshop. For me this was something new, I hadn't really used photoshop before. In the past when I have edited my photos I usually just do it on the photos app, so this way of editing was completely new to me. Thankfully for me we were given the steps on how to do this process. First I made 2 copies of our picture and desaturated the color from one of them. Then using multiple features and tools from photoshop and playing around with the levels I was able to make the picture look the way I wanted. Then I added color to it, and because my original photo was already in black and white I could do the pictures colors for the color. So instead I add a pinkish color to the sketch. This creates the effect that the picture was sketched out in a pink pen. ( Also since I had a bit of extra time I decided to do another one of my pictures too.)

This was very interesting for me to do, following the steps it was very simple, I thought that it would have been very difficult. I guess this assignment has shown me that using a photoshop app to edit photos isn't scary and it can be fun to see the products that you can produce.
